Framing Continues

Moose and I continued our work on the four frames we started yesterday. All pieces were cut to size, so we will route out notches and connection locations the next time we meet.

Framing Started

The rain finally stopped for a day; so after I got all my outside chores done, Moose and I got together for an impromptu frame building session. We are using the Mike Senna frame plans and the Matthew Henricks printed tutorial to help us through our work. We were going to build two frames, but since we had extra wood and the jigs were already made, we decided to make four. We got the outside of the upper and lower plates and outside of the middle ring cut and routed. With any luck we should be able to finish cutting and routing the frames tomorrow evening.

Frame Plans

I picked up wood frame plans from Jason Neurath today. I spoke with Moose and we are going to build four frames at the same time over the long Memorial Day weekend.

Our Builders Group Made The Bellevue Leader

Our local builder's club made the Bellevue Leader today in an article written by Zachary McDonald.

Aluminum Skins Ordered

I made my first purchase today. I ordered aluminum skins from Edward Sherrell. Can you call yourself an R2 builder if you haven't built anything yet?
