My First Con

OSFest is my first convention. Lynelle, Moose, and I made sure we were at the convention early so we had enough time to organize and assemble our R2s.

Wow! We brought a lot of stuff. We were in the back corner of the dealers' room next to the 501st and Rob Carmichael of the Rebel Legion.

The AC was broke on Friday, so the flow of people through the area was pretty light; but that didn't stop the kids from getting excited about R2.

Wittling Away At The Frame

Moose and I got together tonight to work on the frame again. We cut the channel in the front upright boards to accept the base board used to space out the large dataport, cut dados in the skin mount boards, and routed out the channels on the leg support boards to accept the skin mount boards.

With all the support boards cut (not glued) the frames are really strong. We couldn't help but treat them like Tinker Toys and stack them.
